I can tell you the name, address, alias and a description of each sex offender in my area. Are photographs of each author and distribute them to neighbors, so that we can all be vigilant to protect our children.

There was a time not long ago that the threat of sex offenders to my children as seriously as they should be. My attitude was to change quickly if the idea of sex offenders are in my neighborhood, Ito stand up and notice.

We live in a nice area, where children play outside and have fun. My daughter has a friend with a girl on the street. The girls played together and were inseparable seven long years. His mother was active in the PTO and his father was a firefighter for the city. I felt sure that we lived so close to someone who is in the best interests of our children at heart.

Then came the day when I was forced towake up and realize things are not always what they seem, and parents, we must never lower our guard. One morning our neighbor was arrested on a fireman. After he was convicted of rape. Had raped his son raped repeatedly over several years and also had two sons were not his. My daughter was not one of his victims, but it could be.

This neighbor is currently in prison for many years and is a threat to my children. I know that in my quietNeighborhood, there are nine other sex offenders in my area who represent a threat.
